Description
A 1989 University of Florida release, the Misty Southern Highbush Blueberry has a moderately vigorous, upright, spreading growth habit, and is often planted as pollinator for other Southern Highbush varieties. Misty’s spring flowers are often tinged light-pink, and it is an early to mid-season ripening Highbush that produces medium to large size berries that are a beautiful sky blue in color, firm, and have a delightful, spicy-sweet flavor! Misty lends itself very well to any/all picking options – home garden, u-pick, and/or mechanical harvesting.

Growing Preferences
Blueberry plants grow best in an acidic (pH of 4.8 to 5.2), organically rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. The more sun the better for best berry production. The shallow, fibrous roots of blueberry plants like a consistently moist but well-drained soil which can be provided by with a layer of organic mulch. Although blueberries are self-fertile, cross-pollination produces the best fruit crop (larger berries and larger yields). Therefore it is best to plant more than one variety that will bloom at the same time. Blueberry season can be extended by planting early, mid-season and late varieties. Make sure to plant two different cultivars/varieties for each season. USDA Zones: 7b-10b Find Your Zone >

This is my second purchase and I am still amazed by the quality and size of their plants. Other online nurseries I’ve tried just do not compare. If Wilson Bros has what I want, I wouldn’t consider ordering from anyone else.———————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy your purchase for years to come!
